CCDC & UDISHA
There are two bodies functioning towards career enhancement of the students – the CAREER COUNSELING AND DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (CCDC) and UNIVERSAL DEVELOPMENT OF INTEGRATED EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS THROUGH HIGHER EDUCATION AGENCIES (UDISHA).
The CCDC was formed in college in 2007-08 with Ms. B. M. Vaid as the convenor, and Dr. V. S. Samani, Dr. V. U. Umaraniya, Dr. C. M. Thaker, Mr. J. K. Rathod, and Mr. H. V. Parmar as the members.
The office bearers of UDISHA Club are Principal Dr. K.J. Ganatra (Chairman), Dr. B.M. Vaid and Dr. C.M. Thaker (Co-ordinators), and six student members.
Highlights of activities
- Seminars for preparation of competitive exams such as GPSC, UPSC, GCET, CAT, Bank PO
- Participation of students in competitive exams conducted by the CCDC of Saurashtra University with an object of giving insight for such exams
- Seminars on training for DOEACC
- Workshops on Personality Development
- Programme for learning Communicative English
- Counseling students for various careers and for facing interviews for jobs
- Disseminating information on various careers and jobs through notice board round the year.
- Subscribes career guiding periodicals such as Competition Success Review and Liberty Career News.
We intend to organize efforts to put students in touch with reputed employers and also to train them in the writing of resumes and to acquaint them with the selection process of corporate. We have received an enthusiastic response from industry and students for this endeavour..
