The academic year 2007-08 started with a lot of enthusiasm and new zeal following the successful accreditation of the institution in March 2007. The institution came out with flying colours with A-grade accreditation by NAAC—an accreditation few institutions can boast of.
The first important post-accreditation quality assurance exercise was to establish Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college. The college formed an IQAC under the co-ordination of Dr.(Ms). V. V. Umrania, with members from all the departments of the college and representatives from management and society.
Tasks of the IQAC
1.Develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of institutions
2.Channelise the efforts and measures of institutions towards academic excellence. Monitoring in conjunction with Institute cells for quality enhancement to achieve significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of institutions
3.The matter of first and foremost priority for the IQAC was to consider the recommendations of the NAAC peer team. Accordingly, IQAC deliberated with all the stake holders of the institution throughout the year and chalked out a plan of action for the institution.

To start post graduate centers in the college in consultation with the various departments of the college as per requirement of the students.
To set up a language laboratory in the institution to impart better teaching of English.
To discourage the use of chalk and talk method in the classroom and to encourage to make the classroom more interactive and participatory.
To ensure useful involvement of alumnae association in the development of the college.
To start a career counseling and placement cell in the institution that shall provide guidance to the students, organize lectures and arrange placement programmes.
To organize and/or to be host to various sports competitions in the institution.
To organize and /or to be host to and/or to constitute bodies or forums in the institution to organize book fairs, exhibitions, rallies, and such other programmes to make students aware about the various current issues pertaining to social justice, environment, women empowerment, gender equality, scientific approach to life, etc.
IQAC of the college regularly holds meetings, takes stock of the academic and co-curricular activities of the college, and provides help and guidance to the departments of the college in quality enhancement. IQAC of the college consists of the following members:
